Location of work: Tampines, Singapore

To provide technical advice and solutions for projects.
To design and build Database environment in order to meet the infrastructure requirements.
To provide end-to-end support for system DBA related scope during Database project implementation.
To follow the operational processes and procedures to ensure the integrity of the systems and services.
To monitor the availability and performance of all managed databases.
To perform problem analysis, and analyse the trends and indicators of statistical data and recommend appropriate action to improve overall efficiency of the operation.
To carry out pro-active maintenance in order to minimize unplanned outages and eliminate poor performance.
To include backup strategies, Oracle Names Server, Database monitoring, performance tuning etc

At least 3 years of relevant experience in Oracle and SQL database administration
Proficient in designing, implementation and management of Oracle versions 8I, 9I, 10g and Microsoft SQL2000
Solid experiences in Database installation, creation, DB administration, backup, recovery, tuning and security, Oracle 8/9 on UNIX and W2K, upgrading and patching
